When is World Red Cross Day?
World Red Cross Day is a special day to commemorate the birth anniversary of the founder of the Red Cross on May 8. World Red Cross Day is observed world wide and the the founder of Red Cross was Henry Dunant. He is also the founder of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
Henry Dunant was born in Geneva in 1828. He became the first recipient of the 1st Nobel Peace prize.
