Dashain is Greatest festival of Hindu People in Nepal and India, this festival is named after the victory of goddess Durga with wicked demons, during the month of September or October dashain is celebrated for 15 days in Nepali community. Especially people in Nepal enjoy this festival. Government of Nepal also provides 5 days local leave in the Name of this greatest festival of Nepal and Hindus.
There are many festivals to be celebrated in Nepal among them Dashain is the main festival specially observed by Hindus.It lasts for 10 days,the first day is Ghatasthapana,the planning for remaining 9 days is done in this day for instance putting jamara by germinating the maize and barley seeds.Same as the 7th day 8th day and 9th day is Fulpati, Aasthami and Nawami respectively the 10th day is BIJAYA DASHAMI.
In this day we receive tika along with wishes from our elders, delicious foods and new clothes makes people excited on this day.The wishes for long life and bright future from the elders makes us pleasure.
The main objective of celebrating this festival is to be together with family members,relatives and neighbour sharing sorrow, happiness, thoughts etc. So this festival is taken as the festival of delight.
